Susie Gibson (seated) was awarded an all-expense paid trip to Siesta Key, Florida, from the Dream Foundation.

Susie and her husband Mark (standing, left) applied for the trip with the help of her oncologist, Dr. Tejas Lodhawala (standing, center) and Hannah Searfoss (standing, right), oncology physician assistant.

According to Wyandot Memorial Hospital Patient Navigator Debbie Dilley, the Dream Foundation is the only national dream-filling organization for adults with life-threatening illnesses. Debbie said Susie’s dream was to see blue water and the trip to Siesta Key fulfilled that wish.

Dream Foundation representatives presented the award to Susie at WMH in a prize patrol-like manner, including balloons and a bag filled with travel essentials for the trip. The organization has fulfilled more than 20,000 dreams since 1994 with the help of generous volunteers nationwide.
