Wyandot Memorial Hospital signed a contract with Paramount as a participating provider for Wyandot County residents purchasing health insurance through the individual marketplace.
The contract allows county residents to receive care and treatment from the hospital and its physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and nurse midwife.
”We’re so glad we were able to negotiate a contract with Paramount,” President and CEO Ty Shaull noted. “It’s our mission to care for our friends and neighbors in our community, and this contract is key to fulfilling that purpose.”
Paramount is the only insurer offering individual marketplace coverage in Wyandot County for 2018.
“Patients insured through one of the Paramount plans offered in the marketplace will be able to continue seeing their healthcare providers affiliated with WMH,” Shaull explained. “If they’re not established with one of our providers, we can assist with that process.”
The hospital’s patient navigator, Debbie Dilley, can help individuals in selecting a provider. She may be contacted at 419-294-4991, extension 4159.
“We sometimes forget how much our good health means to us until we don’t have it,” Shaull added. “Having health coverage improves access to care and is associated with better health outcomes.”
