John Elchert has been named the director of therapy services at Wyandot Memorial Hospital.
Elchert’s department includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and audiology, and the staff members care for both inpatients and outpatients. He also collaborates with UrgentCare and other clinical staff to provide SportsCare at the Upper Sandusky Schools.
Elchert received a Bachelor’s Degree in health science from Bowling Green State University, and earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Toledo. He is a licensed physical therapist, Graston Provider, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner. He also has weight room safety certification through Bigger, Faster, Stronger.
Elchert started as a physical therapist at WMH in 2015, and had prior work experience in hospitals, outpatient clinics and home health in North Carolina and Arizona.
The Tiffin native resides in Findlay with his wife Kendra, daughter Koraline and two dogs. He enjoys exercise, reading comics and watching sports and movies in his spare time.
